A 4-mile hike through a fairytale village and its environs, one of the most important sites of the Faliscan rupestrian civilization. This trogloditic world of grottoes and lush nature was discovered only a few decades ago. 

Moderate to challenging 7 to 9 mile paths take you through the village to ancient mills and the 12th-century Hermitage of San Leonardo with its frescoed walls. 

A moderately challenging 6 -mile hike through a  3000-year-old gorge,  along the banks of a crystal-clear river, where deep natural pools are perfect for a refreshing dip.

An easy ramble through a 1000-acre reserve with spectacular views of the Tiber Valley,  especially seen at sunset from the summit of a mountain sacred to the God Apollo.

A relaxing  9.7 -mile  ramble.At an elevation of 800 meters, Cottanello's “monticazione" is still a high grazing plain for cows, goats, and sheep. This picturesque locale is said to have inspired Saint Francis of Assisi's treatise on the beauty of nature and animals.
